Hey guys! Did anyone else go the the Trenton NJ computerfest
this past weekend? The show seems to have shrunk from it's
glory days in the past, but there were still a few neat items.

I managed to acquire an Indigo2 and an Ultra Enterprize 3000
with 4 250 Mhz cpus and 512 Mb of memory. I haven't powered
the 3000 up yet, as some of the smaller heatsinks on one of
the cpu host boards were broken off. these are the sort
with pancake-style aluminum coolers that screw into plastic
clips which attach to the chips. The clips have broken, and
as far as SUN is concerned, they are unobtanium. My interim
solution is to affix the plastic clips with _very small_ dabs
of epoxy, and then apply new heatsink compound and screw the
coolers back in.

BTW, this system only has the sbus I/O card, so I can't use
anything other than an sbus video card. I downloaded the manual
from sun, and it looks like I should probably put the TGX
card in slots 2 or 3, rather than 1 (since the controller for
1 is shared by the onboard enet and scsi controller). Does
anyone have any experience with the 3000? Any gotchas I should
know about?
