Thanks!  I appreciate the offer of help but I did finally get it all
working, including visionfs.  Not much to be done with the GUI in that
machine regardless - I think I used it to turn on netbios and that was
it.  About the only thing left on it is that it doesn't leave the
boot: prompt until a key is pressed and it starts up in single-user
mode and waits for a ctrl-d.  The boot: doesn't time out but I can't
recall if the ctrl-d does or not.  I don't think we ever waited long
enough to find out.
