I had to make a special crossover for an RS6K/7011 and 6011:
crossover 2&3
crossover 4&5
6&8 on one end go to 20 on the other
7 goes to 7
23 goes to 23

I don't remember whether I had to remove the framebuffer to get it to
talk to the serial port or not...
