yes, it will work fine... especially since the Symbios 53c875 is what 
the U30 uses for on-board SCSI :)

They typically go for $30 - $40 on eBay.

Take note that unless it has a Sun firmware the OBP may not be able to 
boot from it.  I have a couple such cards for PCs laying around here - I 
should try it out in my U5...
