I've been known to cut over in front of someone with three feet of space
between us or less, but when I do that, 1) there is no one in front of
them, and 2) I am on the gas ASAP.

I may be reckless at times, but I try to be very careful about how I do
it. Not overshooting, not making quick, jerky corrections... You can't
drive a 85 Sentra (Mid-80s compact car) at over 70 MPH without making dead
certain you know what you are doing. If my car were to go into a spin, it
would probably be spinning so fast the G forces would be more than
noticable.

There is a hill on I65 near Lacon, AL as you are heading north -- it's 2.5
miles, all downhill, at about a 20 - 25 degree angle. Even with a
headwind, you can get up there in speed. Truckers use it to make a little
time; even a governed truck set at 65MPH can get up to 80. I did 85 in
that stretch with my car running light (no load) before I lost my nutz. I
realized `If I loose control now, I am *dead*.' But that also comes from
the realization that my doors are 18 gauge aluminum.
