I understnad there are two types of memory modules available for the
AS4x00: "synchronous" and "extended data out (EDO)".

Whats the difference and is one preferable over another in certain situations?

For trailer trash like myself.. can I assume I should just buy the
cheapest? which is?

I gather one is more "rare".

Commonly found is this info, though I did see these two other part numbers
just once:

MS330-EA                         512mb
MS330-FA                         1GB
MS330-GA                         2GB
MS332-FA                         1GB
MS332-GA                         2GB

330 series seems more common.
