Hi lads
Yet another ex-corporate lease V2500 has surfaced in my corner of the world (thank God for failed airlines). Fortunately this one has been professionally decomissioned by HP technical staff - but apparently it is missing the operator's workstation >:-0 Luckily I picked a pair of V2250 control stations up at an unconnected auction a few months ago.
The hardware configuration on this V2500 is:
Single V2500 system chassis
Three dual-440Mhz PA8500 processor boards
Four memory boards - 3GB RAM on each (12GB total)
Three PCI FCAL cards
Three PCI fast ethernet cards
One DDS-3 tape drive
One DVD drive
One 9GB LVD boot disk
I'm seriously tempted - the asking price is just under 2,500USD (plus 400USD to fly to Australia for a weekend to sort out the deal).
BTW does anyone have a cheap HP SCA switch/adaptor/cable set they'd like to sell or donate? I have another V2500 in storage and would love to get two V-class boxes singing in harmony (a total of fourteen 440Mhz processors, 20GB of RAM, 128 PCI sockets, insane memory bandwidth, 600kg and 15+KVA input power).
Regards,
Gavin
