$1300. But beware, it leaves out POPs, CHOPs, COPs, and worst, the
character tools, and support for external renderers. But, on the up
side, it supports those things it "leaves out". It just doesn't let
you really use them fully. Like, for the character tools, Houdini
Select seems worthless for character work, but if someone with Houdini
Master models and rigs the character for you, then you can animate
it. Basically, select is probably best viewed as a way to pick the
version of houdini to match the needs so that rather than buying $13k
(or whatever it actually is) copies of Master for all employees, you
will buy Master for the character rigging department and TDs (and
perhaps others), while the character animators and prop modellers use
Select, and the painting department uses Halo, and so on.
