  My PDP11/34 had Unix on it when I first got it...it had 256KB (the
most an 11/34 can have with its 18-bit addressing).

  But yes, 4MB is quite enough for a more recent 2BSD installation.  I
think the DEC OSs (RSTS/E in particular) get much more out of the
hardware, though.
