[rescue] Fixing switching power supplies

IMHO the best way to fix a swithcing power supply, such as the ones mentioned
yesterday is to find a PC power supply that will fit in the case and
use it. Often, especially with old equipment, a new(ish) PC supply will
fit into the metal box the old one fit in. Sometimes it won't fit at all,
and you end up with an ulgy mess that works.
