[rescue] Appropriate OS for Alpha?

You can do all that with OpenVMS, but it would be easier to
use Tru64, *BSD, or Linux.  The hardest bit to set up with
VMS would be Samba.  Of course with VMS you could use Pathworks
or Advanced Server.

But if I were in your shoes, I'd use something else, at least
for now.
