A GUI is still the best way I know of to run something and tail a log or
whatever in another window. Also an easy way to keep a dozen or so
ssh/telnet sessions open at once.

I guess I don't use the mouse "for very long at a time" if you don't
take into account the typing time. I still tend to type at a command
line for htings that can be dome with the GUI (like directory listings,
moving fiels, etc...)

A GUI also looks much nicer on 19" monitors than text. :)
