I remember being forced to wear monogrammed sweaters and those khaki
dickies for awhile. Then it was mom-made plaid jumpers (it's why I'm
addicted to plaid flannel to this day..can't resist a plaid flannel
shirt). Then the preppy handbook came out and my sister turned me
into a little alligator-fiend for awhile.
