[rescue] trying to ID a component

Good thing Radio Shack is only a couple minutes away.  They didn't have them,
and Mouser wants you to call for anything over 1M ohm.  Digi-key doesn't seem
to carry anything that high, at least there's no request to call them for
anything over a specific resistance rating.  

No worries.  I took my Fluke to it and compared it to a known-good resistor
pack (Mouser calls it "resistor network", BTW) and it compared very favorably. 
I thought I may have unknowingly damaged it with my beefy fingers, now I think
that I didn't, and that it has been cracked for some time.  If it still works,
I'm okay.  I'll just ensure that it's moisture-proof before continuing to use
it long-term.

I may still want to replace it though, and I'll certainly keep that in mind...
