That's exactly what I was going to say too!

I really love my ALW 16/600PS.  It has 32MB of RAM, and I bought the
latest upgrade ROMs and I now use it very reliably with netatalk and the
PAP daemon interface to lpd.

One of the things I really love about it is that it only uses 27W of
electricity when it's in standby mode!

Even better was the price.  I rescued mine from the used outlet store of
a big local leasing agency for $64[cad], and when I got it home and
powered it up I discovered it had only ever printed just over 150 pages
ever in its whole lifetime!  :-)  They didn't seem to know it was nearly
new and that it was compatible with ordinary PC equipment.  I also
bought it on a Saturday when the manager wasn't there and so they sold
it for the book value according to their computer database!  ;-)

I've done manual duplexing on mine -- it's a bit tedious and not 100%
reliable, but assuming you're printing with something that can select
individual pages then it's not hard to fix up any "mistakes" that happen
afterwards.  Of course as with any duplex printer/copier you need to use
really good laser/copier paper that the toner sticks to and which won't
curl (so it feeds properly the second time around).
