a racing or more aggresive clutch basically engages _really_ quick..that
is..you're in free-spin one SPLIT second..the next you're engaging...so
it's almost a binary situation..there's no real in-between..it's engaged
or not. so 5'oclock trafffic BLOWS...it's FULL ON...or FULL OFF...no
inbetween. makes it tough.
this quick transference makes for a huge power transfer....it's
proportional to your acceleration...so if you like to go from stop to go
fast..you want a 'stiffer' transmission... BUT..if you have a stiff
trans..and you do the daily driver shit..you wear it out..it wants to
go..not transition. getttign to the transmission is expensive too..ya
gotta remove the engine to get to it... in a tiny rx the tranny sits,
essentially, between you and the passenger. mine's gone up to 150deg f
before..it's _toasty_. but it's a tiny car.
after several years of a standard i _still_ can't perfect the cluth-less
gear shifting.

where is hte oil leak? replacing a gasket can be _easy_ and _cheap_
