Well, just off the top of my head:
1) generally unreliable hardware
2) horrid context switching performance
3) nasty interrupt service latency called caused by #2 above
4) all but the very best & newest ones perform like shit
5) total lack of *fully functional* serial console support
(If anyone wants to argue that point...I guarantee I've tried
more of them than you have!)
6) its aim as a single-user desktop platform is reflected in its
performance when pressed into service in applications for which
it wasn't designed
7) terrible packaging density on all but the most expensive models
8) total lack of any *reasonable* boot ROM (like OpenBoot)
