[rescue] Why yes, I AM stupid (long)

I have found that using two flat blade screwdrivers on
opposite ends of the pin is the best way to straighten them out.
Simply bending the pin back and forth doesnt' fix the bend.
The trick is to manuver the pin so you can get the two screwdrivers
all the way to the base of the pin, opposite each other.  Then
squeeze the two together to straighten the pin.  Be very careful
to minimize pin manipulation or it will cause a fatigue fracture.
