[rescue] Firebox II

I have managed to "rescue" a Firebox II and amd thinking of doing
something usefull with it (like replacing it's software). 

But after opening it up, there is nothing usefull in it.
No flash-reader or similar that I can see, and the PCMICA seems
to be for a modem.. So have anyone loaded anything else on these
without turning to some kind of pci-card, and if so how?

Is the 44pin connector in it IDE or something else? 
(burned a DoM on a motherboard where I tought the 44pin was IDE but 
turned out to be a LCD port...)
