[rescue] Q: Disk Tower 1000

Folks--

I wonder if anyone on the list has any experience with the circa 1993
Disk Tower 1000 (X587A)?  I'm hoping to get a definitive answer on
whether it will support disks larger than 2GB.  The service manual
(all I've been able to find) doesn't mention anything beyond the 2GB
disks.  Sales newsletters suggest that it will support larger disks by
indirect reference, but I was hoping to hear from someone with hands
on experience.

I've found one at a local used hardware place for what I consider to
be an excellent price, if I can put bigger drives in it.
