(linux|cygwin) != Solaris.

I've never had to install GNU Binutils when using a GCC 2.x package, and
didnt need it when I used a 2.95.3 package to compile 3.0.4 from
source.

only the SunFreeware *packaged* GCC 3.x needs GNU Binutils.
