Interesting. I've been using bash exclusively for upwards of ten
years, and it's never so much as burped.
What platforms/OSs have you had trouble on? I've run it on Sun3,
SPARC, VAX, pmax, SGI, i386, and Cray Y/MP under SunOS4, Solaris,
IRIX, Ultrix, NetBSD, FreeBSD, Linux, and Unicos. Never any problems.
This concerns me because I rather depend on bash for everyday work.
If I'm going to hit instabilities on some other platform at some
point, I'd rather investigate it ahead of time.
