[rescue] Cisco, LAT and SunOS 5

ok, here's the deal.  i've got a VT420 hanging off of a DECserver 200/MC that
i am using to connect via LAT to a Cisco 2500 running IOS 12.1(7) that has an
autocommand that telnets to a SunOS 5.8 box.  it's neato.

anyway, the problem is that when i connect to the sun box it's not told what
my terminal type is and so defaults to sun, which does not work from a VT
series terminal.

so what would be the best way to get the TERM set to something reasonable so
that i don't have to do it by hand?  any ideas?
