Given - but you have to recognize the usefulness - well, actually you don't.
Never mind.
Suffice to say that, a whole lot of people depend on groupware type apps to
run their business. Notes, Exchange, Collabra, whatever - a metric buttload
of companies use these in order to function on a daily basis.
I know it doesn't make sense to a lot of people like us - but that doens't
make it bad or wrong.
Trust me, I'm no MS accolyte. My employer (bungo.com) sells services that
operate over the web, doing a bunch of groupware-type functionality - all on
100% open source (aside from Oracle but that may change soon) and in-house
software.
The primary desktop OS at the office? Linux. The runner up, MacOS.
Windows is used, but mostly by developers that use them because the version
of $DEV_TOOL they prefer is available on Windows. Oh, the sales guys use
Windows and Office because that's what the majority of our prospective
clients use - and they *must* be *assured* that they are able to *completely
and effectively* communicate *100%* with them.
