HP monitors of recent vintage are multisync.  I used an HP A4033A
on a PC for years; you just need a VGA -> 5 BNC cable to use it on
a machine with a vga connector.  Older HP monitors, however, are
fixed sync.

A decent place to look up workstation monitor specs is
http://www.monitorworld.com/.  A good resource for looking up old
HP parts is http://www.tame.com/hp/hpinfo.htm but if this is a
relatively new model it won't be in there.
