[rescue] Just a thought - what would be a good starter SPARC system these days?

I agree 100%. But I think the point that was being suggested is that the
GUI is being pushed with a lot more effort, and some of us are finding
newly certified *NIX admins around us who simply avoid the command line
with fear simply because that isn't what the book said.

If there was more of an equilibrium between the topics then this
would not be such a potential problem. Actually, I would prefer more
effort towards command line... GUI's should be rather easy to pick up
with far less time for such people).
