I got rndc working, but its got a pet peeve:

IT ONLY WORKS IF NAMED IS ALREADY RUNNING.

e.g.:

root at ohno:/var/named> rndc stop
rndc: stop command successful

root at ohno:/var/named> rndc start
rndc: connect: connection refused

root at ohno:/var/named> /usr/local/sbin/named

At least with 'ndc' you could do a 'ndc start'...

Ah well.  I need to setup mrtg to do graphs of name service
stats now..
