[rescue] Cycle 5 RAM

Hi,

Earlier this month there was a thread about the type of 72 pin SIMMs that
can be used by a Cycle-5 SS board.

I have three of these boards, each with the 30 pin slots filled with 4MB
sticks, for 16 x 4 = 64MB RAM. In an attempt to boost the RAM to 128MB, I
ordered six of the following from Coast to Coast Memory:

32MB 72p SIMM 8x36 PARITY 5v 60ns

I installed two SIMMS in each board. (90MHz with OBP 2.15, btw.)

The machines now identify 96MB of RAM, rather than the 128 I was
expecting. Now some people have 36 bit 32MB SIMMs running, so I'm
wondering if there is some other factor, or something I'm missing here?

Thanks,

Steve Worotynec
