I have some scripts to automate the patch report...one runs from a known
secured machine which has a patchreport user that has a pre-shared ssh
key that only alows the execution of the patchreport as well as the
scp'ing of the latest xref file. One script gets and copies the xref
script and then the other runs it and mails the output back to you to
decide what you should update.

If anyone is interested in these I'll find the cd that they're burned
on..it's gotta be laying around here somewhere. Manually running
patchreport on any substantial number of machines can be quite tedious.

On the subject of good tools. Take a look at Orcalllator if you haven't
already. It's incredible and I recommend it for every site. It graphs
sys info and really helps in trending. Much more info than that sar
grapher.
