I have multiple machines that are only capable of 256 colors at reasonable resolutions. However, like many people, I hate the poor dithering. Now, I know I once saw a document on how to force xfree to run in grey scale instead of using an 8bit color pallete, but I can't figure out how to do that. I figure grey scale would be pretty nice to work in. -- Joshua Boyd
