I think that if you look closely you'll see that the
reserve price hasn't been met even for the bid's reaching $1575

These will most likely cost you over $1,000 for the pair, when all is said
and done.

Assume a $700 winning bid, then there is a 10% buyers fee, now you are at
$770.

Add in sales tax, at 8.25% (ouch), and you are at about $835 (based on quick
math).

Then, add in the cost of getting th units boxed up, and shipped back to
you - I think these are sitting on a pallet in SF warehouse - you would need
toget someone to drive there, pack them up, at say a mailboxes, etc., and
then ship it back to you.

At $500/each, are you really saving that much?

Now if I lived near there, and could swing by and pick them up myself, it
starts to get more attractive to me...
