I agree w/Rip about 2.5.1 stability - I had an E4000 DB server with only

Sybase 11.9.3. 3 SSA 114's. Great system.

I do not agree with this at all. I have run dozens of U1's with 64-bit
Sol 7 (happily editing boot.conf) and had *no* trouble whatsoever.
Basenji.com is currently a U1/170E running 64-bit, and it runs great.
My biggest threat to stability is the power in CA.

As for the U2's, remember that models 1170, 2170, 1200, and 2200 all have
ULTRASPARC-1 CPU's, and they seem fine as well. (Basenji.com is due for an
upgrade to a 2200 very soon). I know of a 2200 running as a webserver on
a T3 that gets pounded like mad, last uptime (before service) was 218
days... It's running 64-bit....

Just my $0.02 worth.
