[SunRescue] Anyone know what this error message might mean?

That could also be an bus error. I've had similar messages appear indicating
that.

My gut feeling is that it's a bad sector on your drive.  That's supported by
this:

Here's the string I used for the Google search:

netbsd sd0 SENSE KEY:  Recovered Error

I think you probably need to run fsck in some manner of the drive in
question although I'm don't have the fsck parameters for you.  Sorry.
