OK, you've baited me into my first and list as well.....
My first computer was a Vic-20. I really loved that thing - built my
own monitor for it! Then I moved on to a Commodore 64(2x), and thought
to myself "Wow! There is NO WAY anyone could write a program that used
more than 64k!" After I did that I started "collecting". I picked up a
Commodore 16, Plus-4, and a 128(3x) to stay with the Commodore line.
Then I stopped collecting for a while since this was stil the late 80's
and computers were too expensive for my meager wallet.
I started collecting again in the mid 90's after I picked up my first
386. I picked up an Apple 2+, (3x)//e,(2x) //c, //c+, TRS-80/MC10, and
my "PC" went through various revisions until it hit it's current
incarnation of a P200MMX. I got interested in Unix, so I picked up a
Sparcstation 1, 2, and 20, a HP 9000/730, and a few DecStations - 2100,
3100, (2x) 5000/33, 5000/125, 5000/240, and my first VAX! - a 3100.
Somewhere in there I picked up a few more intel machines - one (a P133)
runs SCO OSRV as a server here and a couple cheap laptops to run Linux
on at work or away from home. There are a few others that are somewhat
less significant - like a 486/33 FreeBSD box, a couple SGI Personal Iris
4D/35's which aren't running (yet), and a pair of Tandy 1000'ds which
were sold to a Tandy collector who will get more use out of them than I
will.
As an aside note, I am looking for a MMJ serial cable to get the
Decstation 2100, 3100 and my VAX going! If you have one to spare,
please let me know... In the mean time, to keep this on topic, I am
going to go use my SS20 :-)
-Linc.
