[SunRescue] more nvram hell - why me?

Hello, all ...

I just "won" a Sparc 2 from Ebay,
and much to my dismay, the nvram
is dead, dead, dead. My first impulse
was to strip out the ram, HD, whatever
was of value in it - and *chuck* the
useless piece of (*^&!!

Then I noticed that it has the (to some)
highly desirable Weitek power-up chip
installed.  I was thinking I may try and
salvage it after all. So, my question is this:
has anyone recently found and installed
a suitable nvram/tod replacement? I've
kept up on all the threads and I know
from personal experience that the
M48T12-150PC1 from mouser does
not work.
