[rescue] CD-ROM

I purchased a CDRom to boot my SS2 and HP machines.  However, it doesn't
suit me at the moment to work on those machines, but I wanted to establish
that it works, so I through it on a nearby PC.  It takes over all scsi
IDs reguardless of what I set the SCSI ID to.  Is this a sign that I have
a bad CD Rom, or is it just a thing with trying to use a CD Rom meant for
a Sun or HP on a PC?
