Actually, I was never considering the inits, rather, the directory structure
and where things are. I have never examined BSD derivatives, but I am told that
the distros / OS's that I am uncomfortable with have a BSD influence and the
ones I am familiar with have a sysV influence. Solaris, Slackware and Red Hat
make sense to me. HP/UX is another that I can follow, as is AT+T's Unix (as I
experienced it on AT+T / NCR hardware). Debian and *BSD are confusing to me.
