When building a house, it is a *trivial* expense to add an extra run or two
of blocks, and a very worth-while investment too...

Stretching a room is also trivial - we were going to stretch our master
beedroom 5 feet, and the increased cost was a few hundred dollars (less than
$1K, IIRC).
