Those are the artifacts of a color terminal and a script file - those =
are control character that will make direcotry files a certain color, =
executables a different color, etc...

I don't see too much wrong with the lilo.conf there, but there appears =
to be garbage characters in both your prompt and in those filenames.... =

If you are having problems with your devices having moved, did you =
enable devfs support whereas before you didn't have it? That makes =
things go way wonky (voice of experience).=20
