Ahoy hoy kids,
In an effort to reduce the ambient noise level in the
home office, I've had to retire my IPX.
I've pulled the drive from it, so you'll have to come
up with one of those on your own.
It's a standard IPX (no Powerup installed) with 64 Meg
of memory. I've got the audio in/out and serial a/b
dongles for it. I'll also throw in an AUI to 10BaseT
transceiver.
It runs just fine. I ran it 24/7 for over a year as the
household server (mail, web, dns, dhcp, etc...)
The last rev of Solaris you can put on it is 2.7. However,
that runs mighty slow on this box. I was running RedHat 6.2
for sparc. You could also put NetBSD or OpenBSD on it.
I'm offering it up to the list to see if anyone is interested.
Best (reasonable) offer takes it.
