I was going through my old email, came across this note, and something
struck me - this is the release that supports the Tadpole SPARCbook quite
well (framebuffer support - unaccellerated, etc.).
After noodling around, I found that *all* the platforms have bootable
images, including SPARC/SPARC64, available as .iso images to be burned and
booted from.
Has antone on this list tried this on their SPARCbook yet? I haven't gotten
around to trying this on one of my SPARCbooks yet...
Thanks,
Ken

Subject: [SunRescue] NetBSD 1.5 CDROM
Just thought I'd mention, that Wasabi Systems www.wasabisystems.com is now
selling a 2 cd set with all the all the main binary releases of NetBSD 1.5
on it. The main reason I find this so cool is that unlike the other places
you can get it, the CDROM is Sparc bootable. Just popping in the CD and
typing "boot cdrom" at the OK prompt is a lot easier than the older ways.
Much easier for a BSD newby like me to deal with.
I have no connection to the company, just thought others here might want to
try it. I know that it and OLVWM make a much faster system for my IPX than
Solaris 7 does.
William
