I started to do this in my old house. I got two walls done and then
gave up on it because of the sanding factor. Sanding every groove down
was alot of work compared to just putting up new sheetrock.

It was coming out quite nicely though. You'll want to fill the grooves
a little thick so that you get enough in there so that when it dries
and shrinks, you won't have to apply another coat.
