[SunRescue] SunOS 4.1.1 (3/3x)

So, there's been a bit of talk lately about the fact that sun no longer
seems to care where one gets their install media for sun 3/3x machines...
makes sense, why bother.

Deciding that I'd like to try SunOS on one of the 4 3/3x boxes around here
(they all run linux now), and discovered that this is *extremely*
difficult to do without an ancient QIC tape drive.

I don't have one of these drives.

I *never* want to own one of these drives.

But people distribute the tape images freely (thanks to the glorious,
glorious sun3/3x archive).

And people mention 3/3x boot/install cdroms.

So, erm.. Anyone who has one of these magical CD's think it would be
possible to obtain images of the data tracks on there? I wanna try to
gather as much of this stuff as possible also to try to make it available
for FTP from this side of the Atlantic, once I've figured out how to
actually install at all....

The 3/80 has boot prom 3.0.2 which is listed as being able to boot CD's.

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean if Pacman affected our generation as
kids, we'd all run around in a darkened room munching pills and listening to
repetitive music.
