What do people use for ripping and encoding? I always use cdparanoia,
although considering that it doesn't currently run on anything but
linux, I could see it being less popular. (I can forgive the stall in
the portable app, as the author is one of the driving forces behind
Ogg Vorbis).

I also use bladeenc to do the actual conversion to MP3. It seems people
either love it or hate it. I fall into the former =)

Although, I need to rebuild my collection since I left my last job
and the network drive they were on... although it'll take a while,
since I ripped them all from my CDs....
