A type 5 keyboard works ok on an IPC or SS2.  It is recognized as a type 4.  
The SS1 and SS1+ are so close in vintage to these that I'll bet that a 5 would 
work on those too.

I also suggest Type 5 over Type 4.  However I had to switch to a type 5 mouse 
to work with a 5 keyboard (on SS10).
