On some framebuffers the 1662B acts odd. Try starting the machine, then
unplugging the monitor and then reconnect it.

It is also possible your framebuffers have been set to a size/sync not
compatible with the 1662. If the framebuffers are set wrong you can return
them to default by at the open boot prompt (the >ok prompt) typing:

setenv defaults output-device

I think that is the correct command.
