Yep, I understand that if I had offered to actually route
_their_ cable up to my house, they might have had an issue
with it. What I actually offered was to provide a cable
"termination" point within 100 ft. A cable modem would be
installed at that point, and the only thing that would be
routed up to my house would be a fiber run for ethernet
only. This would have had -0- impact on their network...
unfortunately, I couldn't get past the marketing types
who only understood that I was installing my _own_ cable,
to talk to a technically competent representative.
Of course, it could also simply be that there are _no_
technically competent people in decision making
positions at Adelphia to talk to... :-)
