[rescue] 670MP funzies....

I was playing around with my 670MP box over the weekend. I decided to
leave the cpu in place in the big box rather than run a 3 slot box with
external drives.

When SunOS-4.1.3 came up, it noted the two Ross CY605(?) processors.
I tried an SM40 processor but it did nothing. The motherboard prom
is revision 2.5, which may be too early to run anything other than
the CY605 processors?

If I can't use anything later, because of the early roms, would it
be of any advantage to find a second CY605 Ross processor and stick
that in? IFF so, anyone got a spare Ross CYM6002K (CY605?) processor
they don't need? IFF not, I have a 501-2239 SM30 processor from
another machine. Would that SM30 be likely to work or be any better
than the CY605? They look to be about equivalent, functionally.

Are there any later proms floating about?

Lastly... anyone got a spare pair of the little drive mounting angles
that mount up drives onto the 4 drive sled in the 670MP? IFF so, I
could use a pair to mount up another drive, internally. If not, time
to cut and file up some angle iron.....(:+}}...

Thanks

Bob
