The NetBSD guys are on the whole even more into tune with hardware. For
instance, take the mac ports in linux; a decided portion was based on what
the BSD guys had done, and my guess this probably applies to the other archs
aswell, although I've not read the source for a while.
Somehow they seem to attract people too; for instance core Alpha guys.
....Now if *BSD folks would put their work down; and put their time and
energies into Linux instead.... B->
