Yep.  This was one of those "aint broke, dont fix it / change it" places.
Most of the 4.x machines had 16meg or 32meg RAM and were acting only has
xterms to bigger machines, by this point... all the engineers went from
R3000 Indigos to P2-300 HP PCs. 8-)

I could have lived with serial console; these were 8bit crapboxes.

Made great little web/dns servers.
